The Elder Group provides education and outreach to the public, including older persons, their families, and caregivers, to identify and prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
The purpose of sensitivity awareness is to bring about organizational and behavioral change for professionals, staff, and leadership who work in a multicultural senior environment.
Elder abuse prevention training for professionals and non-professionals who work with older adults on how to recognize elder abuse and how to facilitate intervention.
Our trained advocates can listen and support victims and loved ones through abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. Along with this support, we can:
· Locate needed resources
· Emergency Placement
· Decide for what comes next
· Understand guardianship and conservatorship parameters.
We also offer Service Supports that can include:
· Safety planning
· Obtaining protective orders
· Court accompaniment for older and vulnerable victims
· Client referral to legal representation to support victims of abuse, which could include fiduciary restructuring, safe housing, guardianship matters, or benefits assistance
· Referrals to other legal system providers, when appropriate

The Elder Group offers prevention education training and presentations for persons of all ages. Presentations created individually or for groups, covering topics such as elder abuse, domestic violence awareness in late life, sexual abuse awareness, healthy relationships, and dating violence. Presentations are available for faith-based organizations, senior centers, health care organizations, and professional groups.
We offer crisis intervention services and support for crucial safety issues. We help the client assess the risk level, and develop a plan for enhanced safety at home, work, and in the community. Our crisis intervention services include:
• Education, guidance, and resources
• Advocate available to accompany victims to the hospital or court
• Referrals to counselors, lawyers, and medical professionals
• Assistance with shelter and financial resources (if available)
